Getting started

FileOS opens on its sidebar. Tap the + next to Locations and pick a folder, such as On My iPhone, On My iPad or iCloud Drive. It shows up in the sidebar and stays there.

Adding locations

• FileOS can open any folder the Files app lets you pick.
• Dropbox folders can be picked while you are signed in to the Dropbox app.
• Some cloud apps, such as Google Drive, OneDrive and Box, do not let other apps pick their folders. Those cannot be added.
• Recents in the Files app is not a folder, so it cannot be added.

Moving and copying

Drag files onto a folder or a sidebar location. Dragging within the same drive moves; dragging to another drive copies. The copying itself is done by iOS.

Removing a location

Removing a location from the sidebar only removes it from FileOS. The folder and its files are not touched.
